Over 60 fantastic galleries come together for the Edinburgh Art Fair’ s 10th Anniversary at the Corn Exchange from 14th to 16th November.
Over the weekend art lovers and collectors will be able to browse and buy an incredible variety of art from all over the world. More than 500 talented artists’ work will be exhibited over the 3 day event so whether you’re an art amateur or aficionado you’re sure to see something that will amazing and inspire you.
There will also be the chance to get creative yourself with fun, informal art classes by Leo Du Feu for young and old. Charity Art in Healthcare will host still life painting lessons and artist talks, as well as demonstrations from a line-up of great artists including Henry Kondracki, Patsy McArthur and Alan McGowan. Meanwhile Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop will run workshops in screen and relief printing.
Tickets are available on the door and are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. The Fair is open from 11am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
Scotland - New Zealand Autumn Rugby Test 15th of November
Scotland take on World Champions New Zealand at the BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday 15th November. It will be the second match of Scotland's 2014 Viagogo Autumn International series.
Scotland haven't beaten the All Blacks in any of the 29 matches the two nations have contested. Scotland and New Zealand have drawn two matches – in 1964 and 1983. What a match is gonna be!!!!

Come and join in all the magical Christmas fun at Gyle when Santa arrives with his Christmas Parade on Wednesday 12th November.
The Christmas magic starts at 4pm.
In the Mall there will be workshops, face painting, stilt walkers and balloon specialists.
Outside and around the main entrance, our VIPs will arrive at Frankie and Benny’s at 3.45pm; boy band Rewind will be on stage at 5.15pm; Boogie and Arlene present the Forth One Road Show from 5.30pm - 6.30pm.

Edinburgh Oktoberfest is back! Join the ultimate Bavarian party complete with tasty German Schnitzel, live Schlager music and of course giant glasses of cold beer.
The Oktoberfest tent is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday from today to 12th October. Entry is free on Wednesdays, £5 on Thursday, Friday and Sunday and £10 on Saturday.
About Stockfest 2014
Stockfest, a week long festival celebrating the village of Stockbridge in Edinburgh and the surrounding community, returns in 2014 for its 3rd festival.
The brainchild of Stockbridge Traders, Tannis Dodd (Herbie of Edinburgh) and JoJo Hernandez (Lilies & Dreams), follows on from the success of previous two years and a series of one day festivals in the area. This year sees a growth in the Committee to include the LifeCare Group (http://www.lifecare-edinburgh.org.uk) the Stockbridge Library (https://www.facebook.com/StockbridgeLibrary) and four local residents.
Spread over the week of Saturday 20th – Saturday 27th September 2014, the festival involves local traders, community groups, schools & residents and as ever the 2014 programme will not disappoint!
Stockfest Committee organised events return including: an Opening Party Community Ceilidh.. StockFlea – an UpCycling and Vintage Flea Market.. StockDog – a mini ‘scruffs’ event to be held in Inverleith Park.. StockDish – where Stockbridge Chefs go head to head with their culinary delights.. And a Jazz & Blues themed Closing Party, coordinated by the Events Team at Lilies & Dreams.
Monday 22nd incorporates the Inverleith Allotments Open Day where questions such as “Have you ever thought about growing your own fruit and vegetables but don’t know where to start?” can be answered and you can book into a Free Tour of the plots.
Highlights for the rest of the week include Guided Walks through the area, Taster Sessions in Zumba and Swing Dancing at LifeCare on Cheyne Street, Book and Poetry readings plus a Military History Talk at Stockbridge Library, Live Music and Shopping Discount Evenings throughout the area and even a Street Party hosted by the St Stephen Street Traders Association.
